At the end of the year, the high season begins: due to the growing number of parcels and orders, delivery and packaging times are increasing. We already see an increase in the volume of parcels. We have also received information from our partners that, for the same reasons, delays occur both at JFK airport (parcels from a warehouse in the USA fly through it) and at customs at Sheremetyevo.
If you are shipping now or planning to buy something at the Black Friday sale, please keep this information in mind. Sometimes it happens that a New Year’s gift bought in the last days of November does not get to the you on time because of the high season delays happening on multiple stages of the way.
It is also important to realize that the main priority for us is the safety of the cargo. We do not choose risky routes hoping to deliver packages as soon as possible, we prefer reliable ways.
The processing and packaging time for shipments in the US warehouse is getting back to normal - in this regard, we are canceling the free storage of incoming parcels.
As before, your purchases can be stored for 45 days free of charge, after that the cost of storage is $0.5 per day per each parcel. The maximum storage period for an incoming parcel is 100 days.
For Qwintry Plus subscribers, free storage of incoming parcels is 90 days.
All types of special requests are available again in the US warehouse.
Please, keep in mind that the storage fee for incoming parcels has been temporarily canceled, and for all shipping methods, except for the Qwintry Flash, a 7% discount is valid until the end of October with promo code QWINTRYOCTOBER.
We are trying hard to get the packing time back to normal. Until then anyone gets a 7% shipping discount with a coupon QWINTRYOCTOBER. It is valid until the 31st of October, and can be used for any delivery method except Qwintry Flash for unlimited number of packages. It cannot be combined with any other coupons, discount levels, or benefits.

As you are aware, we moved to a new warehouse in the USA in August in order to improve our service. This caused us to face two problems:
1.Since our move the installation of new communication lines and high-speed Internet connection has been in progress with unforeseen delays by the internet provider. We are using the maximum of possible alternatives for mobile communication, but the speed and capacity are still insufficient.
2.We are currently expanding the warehouse staff. There is currently a hiring crisis in the US - the payment of large unemployment benefits during a pandemic led to a significant shortage in the labor market, and therefore it takes more time and effort to find new employees.
This situation and the growing volume of incoming parcels lead to current delays - temporarily, the time for performing warehouse operations has been increased. A number of warehouse processes were optimized to be faster and more efficient.
We also had to suspend some types of special requests until the deadlines get back to normal - information is available on the special requests page in your account. The main rule for us remains the same - the reliability for your parcels. We continue to do our best to keep high quality of processing and packaging of your orders and to ship your purchases faster.

At our new warehouse in the US, communication cables are still being installed. Currently warehouse employees process parcels using mobile hotspots, which significantly slows down the work speed - because of this, the packing time has been increased to 6-8 days. Please take this into account when placing your shipment order. For your convenience, we have canceled the paid storage of incoming parcels until the usual packing time is restored. We will inform you additionally when everything gets back to order.

Please be advised that since 3 March, 2021 changing recipient's information for packages after they left warehouses in the US and Germany will be provided on a paid basis: $3 per parcel before arrival to the customs, $5 per parcel after customs clearance.

We are reminding you that at the end of the year comes the high season: due to the increasing load, the delivery and packaging times are increasing accordingly. Black Friday, Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday, and Christmas sales: at the end of the year, the parcels become more numerous, and our warehouse is prepared for that. However, this year, a new factor came into play – the COVID-19 pandemic. In the USA, just as in the rest of the world, there is still a difficult epidemiological situation. Any link of the supply chain is operated by human beings, and predicting whether or not they will get sick tomorrow is impossible. If a warehouse employee is suspected for being COVID-19-positive, we suspend them from work, and have them take the test.
The same is applicable to delivery. During this year, the volume of cargo transportation has grown, and we have learned to work in the new reality. However, it is not clear yet, what kind of load will be there on the airlines and, as a consequence, on the customs this year. We are preparing for this load to be pretty intense, and, just as we do every year, we recommend ordering the delivery of the items that you need to get by a certain date, well in advance.
The end of the year is a high season for logistics companies: the load on transport, customs and courier services is increasing, hence, the delivery time is increasing as well. This year, the situation is further complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the reduction in the number of flights, so we recommend ordering your Christmas gifts as early as possible. Delays are highly likely - please keep this in mind when placing your orders.

Due to this, some of the employees are absent from the warehouse. This affects the operating speed, and, because of that, delays are possible during the packaging, fulfilling special requests, as well as at other stages. In addition, due to the pandemic, delivery terms have also been increased.
From June 1, 2020, we are returning to the usual terms of free parcel storage – the incoming parcels will be allowed to stay free of charge at the Qwintry warehouse for 45 days, after which the storage cost will be $ 0.5 per day for a parcel from the first day of paid storage. The free storage time for the outgoing (formed) parcels at the Qwintry warehouse (from the moment of issuing the invoice for the services) is seven days, after which the storage cost will be $2 a day.
All the incoming parcels, which came to the warehouse during the period from March 28 to June 1, 2020, will be stored at the warehouse free of charge for 90 days from the moment of the parcel’s arrival.
Due to the lockdown extension, we are extending the parcel storage time. All of the outgoing parcels can stay at our warehouse until May 15, 2020, without any extra storage charges or risk of their disposal.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, USPS has suspended the shipment of parcels to some countries. Please check whether shipping to your country by using this method is possible or choose other delivery methods.

Due to the situation connected with the spread of COVID-19, we want to assure our customers that we are closely following the development of events, and are taking serious measures to maintain as much as possible the usual level of service in these challenging conditions.
Our decisions are guided by the directions issued by the Delaware Division or Public Health, where the American Qwintry warehouse is located. Recently, the local authorities issued an order to suspend the work of companies which are not essential to the state’s economy. This order does not apply to Qwintry as a logistics operator (essential business), and our warehouse continues to operate without any changes.
Nevertheless, we took all the necessary precautions to ensure safe storage of the parcels if we are urgently requested to stop work in connection with additional instructions from the authorities. This possibility seems highly unlikely currently but we are prepared to handle such a development of events.
Like the rest of the world, we cannot say exactly how the situation will develop, but Qwintry will continue to provide services as long as there are technical conditions for that, and currently we do have the opportunity to do that, as well as keep up the quality and reliability standards expected by our customers. We are monitoring the situation and make decisions in real time, informing our customers about delays that are inevitable at the moment.
